Residencys and Fellowships.

It all begins with at concert. I couldn’t get a press pass, so I wanted to make a difference in images that most get at such large festivals. I brought my Polaroid, a few packs of film and went off to all the concerts my heart desired. For the longest I didn’t know what to do with a large collection, until Voice HQ offered me a virtual residency to mint my work into NFT’s.This 8 week program to teach me the basics NFT terms and processes to creating NFTs. My collection of Polaroids are now in the future of art.

Building NFT’s.

Fellowship from the best of leaders in Photography.

I have started my first fellowship in Charlotte, North Carolina. This fellowship is lead by a photographer master, Titus Brooks Heagins at The Light Factory under Kay Tuttle. To join fellowship with 8 other African American Women photographers is a gorgeous sight. Our work will be showcased a The Light Factory on May 27th 2023.

Current Residency and Fellowships.

The Residency that set the tone.

The residency that set the tone from inside ,then out as a human being first and next as a artist. This spiritual creative outlet, with guidance from Alessandra Santo Pye was the challenge I loved. This framework of restoration and contemplation in a natural setting, using workshops, books and creative writing in socio- emotional learning engaged. This included an incredible cohort, that ended in a relaxation retreat with The Chrysalis Institute funded by The Fetzer Institute.

What’s Next <The Environment

I intentionally searched for this space where photography, environmental and experimental photography can to a learning point. I found a organization The Sustainable Darkroom started as a research group under London Alternative Photography Collective, since 2021 it has been operating as an independent organisation. Sustainably Darkroom located is located in London. In August, I will be attending workshops designed around an environmental approach to photography.
